God has given all of his followers an important mission that is not a secret. We can easily remember five parts of the mission because they all begin with the letter A.

Mission: 5A
M5A Mission #1: Ask the Lord
We can’t successfully complete any mission in our own strength. We need to ASK for the Lord’s help. In fact, he is the one that assigns us each mission.
Luke 10:2 ESV
And he said to them,
“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, ask the Lord of the harvest,
to send out laborers into his harvest.”
M5A Mission #2: Live Among Wolves
The world won’t make your mission easy. Jesus said we will be like sheep surrounded by wolves. Sharing the Good News is an ADVENTURE.
Luke 10:3 ESV
Go your way.
Behold, I am sending you
as lambs in the midst of wolves.
M5A Mission #3: Fish for People
Jesus told his followers that sharing the Good News (our ASSIGNMENT) is like going fishing. Instead of fishing for fish, we’re fishing for people.
Matthew 4:19 ESV

And he said to them,
“Follow me, and I will make your fishers of men.”
M5A Mission #4: Go Into the World
Our mission territory covers a wide AREA, from across the street to around the world. But it is important to always start at home first.
John 17:18 ESV

As you sent them into the world,
so I have sent them into the world.
M5A Mission #5: Live Through Him
The power to complete every mission only comes when we ABIDE in Christ. We are living in him and he is living inside us.
1 John 4:9 ESV
In this the love of God
was made manifest among us,
that God sent his only Son into the world,
so that we might live through him.
M5A Mission Extra: Be On Alert

You must be on your guard because our enemy will ATTACK. Satan and his team will do whatever they can to stop us from completing our mission.
Remember that Jesus, our mission director, is always ready to help us at any time, if we just ask him.
